The WIAF’s Harvesting Hope Community Kitchen focused on three main objectives: reducing food waste, combating social isolation among seniors, and promoting physical and mental well-being.
Our team transforms unused and/or excess perishable food from the food bank into ready-to-eat, nutritious meals.
Whether it is quantities of food received in bulk, moldy or squished fruits and vegetables, our chefs do it all to turn food that would have gone to waste into delicious meals and snacks for our clients!
