To become a member at our food bank you need to be a resident of the West Island. This excludes the cities of Dorval, Senneville and Baie D’Urfé. You also need proof of identity and proof of income. The proof of income can be a notice of assessment from the provincial government and if you are a newcomer, it can be a bank statement.
We always appreciate and are in need of food donations. Please consider donating non-perishable, shelf-stable items. Nonperishable food donations can be dropped at 23 Centre Commercial St. during regular office hours or in special cases by appointment by calling our main office at (514) 683-0456.
It is always a good idea to call ahead as some days we may be short staffed.
Please drop off clothing and small household item donations to our thrift store located at 21 Centre Commercial St. Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We help provide services that foster the independence of our members. We also offer food, clothing and hygiene products to those in need and encourage the development of initiatives that help meet the basic needs of the community.
Food insecurity is where someone has limited access to available food due to costs and other factors. It is when a household lacks consistent access to food for everyone within the household to live a healthy and balanced life. This living situation can be temporary for a household or last a long time.
