How do I get access to food?
To become a member at our food bank you need to be a resident of the West Island. This excludes the cities of Dorval, Senneville and Baie D’Urfé. You also need proof of identity and proof of income. The proof of income can be a notice of assessment from the provincial government and if you are a newcomer, it can be a bank statement.
Where is the food bank located?
I have some food to donate, what do I do?

It is always a good idea to call ahead as some days we may be short staffed.

Yes! We have existed since 1966 and we have been helping to serve the community for 56 years. We are currently helping to serve 361 households and a total of 1,130 beneficiaries.
Why should I support the WIAF?
We help provide services that foster the independence of our members. We also offer food, clothing and hygiene products to those in need and encourage the development of initiatives that help meet the basic needs of the community.
What is “Food insecurity”?
Food insecurity is where someone has limited access to available food due to costs and other factors. It is when a household lacks consistent access to food for everyone within the household to live a healthy and balanced life. This living situation can be temporary for a household or last a long time.
