We are pleased to announce that effective April 17th, 2023, Moussa Abdelkerim has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the West Island Assistance Fund. Moussa has previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of the organization for the past 27 months.
During his tenure as COO, Moussa demonstrated his strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and unwavering commitment to serving the community. His contributions to the organization have been invaluable in ensuring that WIAF continues to provide essential services to those in need in our community.
As Executive Director, Moussa will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food bank and leading the organization in its efforts to support and empower vulnerable members of our community. His extensive experience in non-profit management, combined with his passion for community service, make him an ideal fit for this role.
