FDOI’s goal is to combat food insecurity by enabling the West Island community, particularly the most vulnerable or individuals/families in precarious situations due to the social and economic inequities, to access healthy balanced food, in addition to providing them with hygiene products, clothing etc.

Food bank – Operations Management

Oversee the day-to-day running of the BA

In collaboration with the CO, establish the BA’s annual budget and manage it on a monthly basis.

Work in consultation with the CO in the planning, implementation and evaluation of BA programs and services

Manage the day-to-day delivery of BA programs and services

Manage and oversee the food donation collection schedule

Ensure our truck is maintained and in good working order

Identify maintenance issues in the BA and communicate needs to the CO to ensure a safe, pleasant and clean environment for staff, volunteers and clients.

Ensure that the operation of the BA meets the expectations of its customers and volunteers.

Education and experience

Minimum of a DES

3-5 years’ relevant experience in a similar context

Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook software

Written and spoken French, oral knowledge of English in the workplace

Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 10 kilos

Valid class 5 driver’s license, able to drive a cube truck

Preferably own vehicle
