Job Title: Reception and customer service representative.

Part-Time Position (3 days per week, 21 hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

The reception and customer service representative greets, guides and informs former and new clients of the West Island Assistance Fund (WIAF), as well as the general public, about the activities and services offered by the organization.

Description of the organization:

The West Island Assistance Fund (WIAF) is a non-profit community organization. Since 1966, our mission has been to fight food insecurity by enabling the West Island community, especially the most vulnerable individuals/families in precarious situations due to the economic climate or the vagaries of life, to gain access to healthy, balanced food as well as hygiene products and clothing.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the management team, specifically the administrative assistant, the successful candidate will work on the following tasks:

– Provide clients with information by telephone or in person.

– Respond to client requests and emergencies.

– Answer telephone calls.

– Complete application forms and file records.

– Assist the administrative assistant in their duties.

– Any other related tasks requested by the management team.

Education and Experience:

– College studies or Grade 11 completed

– Experience in customer service (asset)

– Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook software

– Written and spoken French, oral knowledge of English in the workplace.
